Intel's next-gen Arc Battlemage “Xe2” discrete GPUs are expected to launch in December, ahead of the release of future GPU lineups from NVIDIA & AMD.
Intel will be the first to release next-gen GPUs with its Arc Battlemage series, expected to debut next month ahead of NVIDIA and AMD
Intel's Arc Battlemage discrete GPUs and their release dates are constantly evolving as we approach the end of the year. As in a previous rumor, it has been revealed that Intel's upcoming desktop GPUs will be released by the end of November, around the Black Friday timeframe.
However, based on information leaked by famous data miner Tomasz Gawroński, Intel is expected to release next-generation Battlemage desktop processors by December, and this information was revealed by an "official teaser" from Team Blue.

So the latest information suggests that either Intel's Battlemage dGPUs have been delayed from their "supposed" November launch, or the company was aiming for a December launch all along. However, since Intel has decided to launch its upcoming “Xe2” desktop GPUs by the end of the year, the company may be aiming for a release window earlier than NVIDIA & AMD’s next-gen GPUs, which would give the Blue team it's time to advertise their GPUs earlier. Whether this will work or not is a question for the future.
Not just Battlemage, but in a newer post, Gawroński did revealed Intel's development and on Xe3's future “Celestial” GPUs, which will be in full force with the release of the next-generation Panther Lake mobile SoCs. So overall, Intel's GPU lineup is indeed extensive, but it all depends on the success of Battlemage to see if we get another round of discrete GPUs. Intel hasn't given up on its GPU development plans yet, but the company has said it will focus more on integrated graphics solutions for its SoCs, so it could land the Celestial "Xe3" if not for desktops.
For a quick rundown of Intel's Battlemage, the GPU lineup is set to be based on TSMC's 4nm process and features up to 32 Xe2 cores, up to 16GB of memory, and up to 256-bit bus configurations. We've seen some terrific leaks around the lineup, including the appearance of the BMG-G21, BMG-G10, and BMG-31 GPU cards. So the Battlemage will be packed in terms of specs.
Intel's Battlemage in December, NVIDIA's “RTX 50” Blackwell and AMD's “RDNA 4” or let's say “UDNA 4” will be released in January 2025. Hence, the coming months will be exciting for the industry computing and how it moves into the future.
